Antique Victorian Italian hand carved coral floral cluster hair barrette/ornament, with gold mountings, the delicate little pieces of coral are all individually mounted on wire like fittings, the back of the brooch reveals a natural coral branch, the pieces are a lovely salmon color, probably was a brooch/pin at one time, made into a hair barrette, but we’re not sure, coral is often worn as an amulet against the evil eye, perhaps this was worn by a bride for good luck, measuring 1-3/4″ x 1″ overall, good condition, sold as found, from a local estate.
