Super cool!  This is a perfect retractable antique button hook.  Wealthy women, during the 1800s, would use these to fasten their buttons on shoes and clothes.
It is adorable–antique (Victorian), 14K and with perfect enameling on the front and back.  It has a hidden mechanism on the side that raises the hook. It also has a jump on the top so it can be worn as a pendant or fob.  It measures 1.5″ by .25″.
